This weekend I am lucky enough to have an extra day at home because it’s a bank holiday!! I’m really not doing too much with my weekend, but I’m so excited to spend some time getting the house straight and putting things in places! I have total interior styling problems and I’m never happy unless I’m moving things into different places and swapping up my spaces! So here is what i’ve got planned…
I’ve just picked up my first ever West Elm order from the post office, and I could not be more pleased after opening the (rather large!)box. I have had my eye on a few West Elm pieces after taking a trip to their gorgeous Tottenham Court Rd store in April, and treated myself to a few things that were on my wish list. A few pieces are already in their new home in number five, although no doubt they will be moved a few more times before I’m totally happy!
This brass llama is one of my fave picks, and there will be a blog post to follow next week of my West Elm haul.
Alongside the new West Elm pieces finding their way in number five, I cannot wait to have a bit of a tidy and potter around the house. Every weekend is a chance to re-style a little; an interior stylist’s dream, and one of my favourite things to do! These are my Bloom & Wild flowers I was telling you about in my last post, aren’t they beautiful! I can’t wait for when those gorgeous peonies begin to bloom! Instagram worthy or what?
Carrying on with the pottering theme, I always think the bank holiday weekend is the perfect excuse to spend a little longer outside in the garden, and leaving that ironing pile ’til a little later! I’ve got a few spring plants to remove and need to replant with new flowers to add a little summer colour! Jo Wiley said on Chelsea Flower Show this week that gardening is the new rock n roll… & i am so in! I’m also hoping the sun will be shining so I can enjoy my tea breaks in the garden. Cups of tea and a flick through a new edition of an interiors mag; ah, there is nothing better in my book!
I hope you all have wonderful weekends planned, and lets keep our fingers crossed that sun shine stays.
