Not the kind that are really terrible for the environment but the new home trend that is everywhere at the moment! This iridescent trend adds a beautiful lustrous finish that will fit perfectly in any colour scheme; so versatile with its blue, purple, green, black, yellow and pink tones depending on the light and adds a real wow factor to any room or accessory.
I have chosen a few of my favourite finds… And I already have my eye on a few of these pieces and I may have a couple of these things saved in an online shopping basket!
Move over copper accessories for the bar cart, these lustrous pieces from Urban Outfitters are just fantastic and would make a sexy addition to any sideboard with a side of gin and whiskey! Now pass me an Old Fashioned!
Tom Dixon, the King of metallic and lustre finishes has created beautiful pieces in his Oil collection. All pieces are finished by hand so no two pieces are the same, creating that beautiful iridescent finish the same as a beautiful dragonfly wing or petrol on water.
Move over copper pendant light, there’s a new Tom Dixon light to lust after. Isn’t this just beautiful!
This clock is such a fabulous find from Cafe Press! Such beautiful tones and so reasonable too. It add a touch of the trend without breaking the bank. (I may have added one of these to the basket for the new kitchen! Just fabulous isn’t it!)
Just how luxurious does this cushion look? The perfect iridescent tones, velvet and the perfect shape too. This is from American designer Kevin O’Brien and available on a US site, but really hoping our High Street will do something similar soon! I will keep you posted if i see anything similar!
Another way to add that beautiful lustre to your home is through tiles, in bathrooms, in kitchens and in the garden. I spotted these fantastic tiles from Oceanic Saunas (these tiles aren’t just for saunas!) They have the most perfect tone and would look ace with some dark grout, marbled kitchen top and exquisite gold sink and taps!
Finally and a ‘why do the US always have the best homewares!’ this super sexy cutlery set from Gretel Home. If you haven’t had a swoon on this site, just spend five taking a look! Lots of Scandic interior brands and beautiful pieces like these! These are just sooooo pretty and I’m not sure I could use these to eat with! Yes, they are super expensive but they will be stunning addition to any table!
I’d love to hear whether you will be joining in with this interior homewares trend and which are your favourites too!
